List of fource skills in Dragon Quest IX
Fource skills are learned via the Armamentalist class.
Fire Fource[edit]
Imbues a party member with fire, which applies this element to their physical attacks and increases their resistance to the element by 50%. Additionally, enemies not weak to fire still receive an additional 10% damage when struck. This technique requires 4 MP to cast, 4 skill points to learn, and effects one ally for 6~9 turns.
Frost Fource[edit]
Imbues a party member with ice, which applies this element to their physical attacks and increases their resistance to the element by 50%. Additionally, enemies not weak to ice still receive an additional 10% damage when struck. This technique requires 4 MP to cast, 16 skill points to learn, and effects one ally for 6~9 turns.
Gale Fource[edit]
Imbues a party member with wind and lightning (blast) elements, which applies this element to their physical attacks and increases their resistance to those elements by 50%. Additionally, enemies not weak to either element still receive an additional 10% when struck. This technique costs 4 MP to cast, 32 skill points to learn, and effects one ally for 6~9 turns.
Funereal Fource[edit]
Imbues a party member with soil and darkness, which applies this element to their physical attacks and increases their resistance to those elements by 50%. Additionally, enemies not weak to either element still receive an additional 10% when struck. This technique requires 4 MP to cast, 55 skill points to learn, and effects one ally for 6~9 turns.
Life Fource[edit]
Imbues a party member with light, which applies this element to their physical attacks and increases their resistance to the element by 50%. Additionally, enemies not weak to the element still receive an additional 10% damage when struck. This technique costs 4 MP to cast, 82 skill points to learn, and will effect one ally for 6~9 turns.
Passive Bonuses[edit]
Fully maximizing the Fource skill tree will grant the following permanent bonuses for the character:
- +10 Strength when 10 skill points are invested.
- +20 Resilience when 22 skill points are invested.
- +10 Charm when 42 skill points are invested.
- +30 Magical might when 68 skill points are invested.
- +30 HP when the skill tree is fully mastered.
- With the 'Armamentalist's Album' in inventory, a character can cast Fource abilities on the whole party.
