List of wand skills in Dragon Quest IX
The following are wand skills in Dragon Quest IX. Wand skills can be learned via Priest, Mage, Armamentalist, Paladin and Sage classes.
Antimagic[edit]
Stops a single foe from casting spells for 7~9 turns. Costs 3 MP to use and 9 skill points to master.
Beelzefreeze[edit]
A normal strike that has a 25% chance to paralyze demons. Requires 21 skill points to learn.
Caduceus[edit]
Restores 75~95 of you or your ally's HP. Costs 2 MP to use and 44 skill points to learn.
Zing Stick[edit]
Revives a fallen ally. The initial success rate of the skill is 50%, restoring 25% of a character's health. Once the practitioner's magical mending surpasses 180, the rate will eventually reach 75% and restore half a character's health. Requires the 'Wands and Beyond' in the character's inventory to use and costs 8 mp to cast.
Omnivocational Wandmaster[edit]
Enables the character to use wands with any vocation.
Passive Bonuses[edit]
- With 2 points into the skill tree, a character holding a wand will have +10 MP
- With 13 points into the skill tree, a character holding a wand will increase their wand's MP absorption rate by +2%
- With 31 points into the skill tree, a character holding a wand will have +30 MP
- With 57 points into the skill tree, a character holding a wand will increase their wand's MP absorption rate by +4%
- With 70 points into the skill tree, a character holding a wand will have +60 MP.
- With 84 points into the skill tree, a character holding a wand will start recovering MP after each round.
