Monster Pile-On is an attack skill that calls in recruited monsters to bum-rush enemies.
Appearances[edit]
Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake[edit]
Monster Pile-On is learned by Monster Wranglers upon rescuing 10 wayward monsters. It costs 8 MP to use and sics all of the M.W.'s rescued beasties on to four random enemies to deal strike-damage, with power scaling to the number of saved monsters. The upper damage limit per strike with all 121 monsters rescued is 120~180, meaning that against bosses and other single targets Monster Pile-On can deal 480~720 strike-damage.
- The May 23rd, 2025 update patch nerfed the skill's damage output until the player has rescued the 121 monsters. It now also sends out 3~5 random strikes instead of being fixed to 4, giving the maximum damage a new range of 360~900
Dragon Quest Tact[edit]
Monster Pile-On can be learned by the Female Monster Wrangler at level 82 and costs 88 MP to cast. It has a range of two squares in front of her and inflicts moderate martial damage to random enemies in a rectangular area of effect four times. Upgrading the skill increases its damage and reduces the amount of MP it costs to use.
