Purple gem is an item that appears exclusively in Dragon Quest Treasures. It is a round, violet-coloured jewel with a cat's eye effect that is used to craft pellets.

Purple gem can be dropped by all variants of the Shadow or occasionally by sending a dispatch team to the Bloodleaf Boulevard area of Cinderback Ridge. It can be used to craft two different types of pellets at the Werks or for scouting monsters.
