The royal rod is a powerful weapon with a +83 attack power that debuted in Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker. It was once owned by a king who couldn't keep his hands off it.

In DQM:J, one is received after defeating Estark in Dr. Snap's laboratory on Domus Isle. It can be sold for 20,750. In DQM:J2, one is dropped by Rigor Mortex upon its defeat.
