He aids the three [[Luminaries]] by transforming into his natural {{Dragon}} form and flying them to the [[Lighthouse (Dragon Quest II)|Great Lighthouse]] in the center of the northwestern sea. He reverts to the humanoid form but refrains from participating in battle as he admits he is a bit of a wuss, though he does cast [[Midheal]] on the group after combat is over. During the ending, the [[Dragonlord]]'s great-great-grandson flies the party directly to [[Midenhall|Middenhall]] and partakes in the victory celebration.

| Interestingly, if the reader makes poor choices and loses the battle in the great lighthouse then the [[Dragonlord]]'s descendant will sacrifice the magic maintaining his humanoid form to hide the [[Luminaries]] via a sort of [[Morph]] spell.
