The '''Tortured Soul in Memoriam''' (追憶の亡霊 ''Tsuioku no bōrei'') is a monster in the ''[[Dragon Quest (series)|Dragon Quest]]'' series that was introduced in the 3DS version of ''[[Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King]]''. It is a more powerful variant of the [[Tortured soul]] that appears as the second boss in [[Memories Lane]] alongside the [[Skeleton in Memoriam]] and [[Walking Corpse in Memoriam]].
==Characteristics==
Having risen from the dead once again, this former abbot retains the ability to call upon fellow rotting humanoids to join the fray. It also has some new tricks up its sleeve in the form of [[Buff]] and [[Oomph]], allowing it to bolster its buddies to last longer and hit harder.
