The Tortured Soul in Memoriam (追憶の亡霊 Tsuioku no bōrei) is a monster in the Dragon Quest series that was introduced in the Nintendo 3DS version of Dragon Quest VIII.
It is a more powerful variant of the Tortured soul that appears as the second boss in Memories Lane alongside the Skeleton in Memoriam and Walking Corpse in Memoriam.
Characteristics[edit]
Having risen from the dead once again, this former abbot beckons for any potential challengers in Memories Lane. The Tortured Soul in Memoriam retains the ability to call upon fellow rotting humanoids to join the fray and also has some new tricks up its sleeve in the form of Buff and Oomph, allowing it to bolster its buddies to last longer and hit harder.
