Ray Churls

Ray Churls (シャイン, Shain) is an infamous monster that appears exclusively in the Nintendo 3DS version of Dragon Quest VIII.
He is able to form the team Heavens Above along with Ziggy and Starsky.

Location[edit]
Lucky Old Sun (邪悪な太陽, Jaakuna taiyō) can be found in the southern part of the desert located south of Castle Trodain after Rank A of the Monster Arena is completed.
Etymology[edit]
Lucky Old Sun and Ray Churls are a reference to famous American musician Ray Charles, who pioneered the soul genre of music. He was known for his trademark sunglasses he wore due to his blindness and his beaming smile.
