From Dragon Quest Wiki

Dazzleflash is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series. It attempts to blind the target party and will reduce their accuracy to 58 (62.5%), making it slightly less effective per enemy in exchange for it's wider range. Typically, the effects last for 1~2 turns.

Dragon Quest IV[edit]

Dazzleflash is used by Demon thunderer and Scarewell in the remakes.

Dragon Quest V[edit]

Dazzleflash is learned by several monster companions such as the dracky and man o' war. In its debut the skill is virtually identical to Dazzle and causes the same effects for a 1~2 turns.

Name Level
Bad apple 5
Crosseye 8
Bomboulder 10
Hades helm 15
Man o' war 15
Dracky 22

Eyelasher, Eyepod, and Luneyetic use it only as enemies.

Dazzleflash is learned by advancing to either rank 5 of the Ranger vocation or rank 1 of the Luminary vocation. In VI the skill changed from reducing accuracy to 3/8ths like Dazzle to 5/8ths.

It is used by the enemies Bloodcreeper, Grrrgoyle, Killer moth, Devil Glass, Haunted mirror, Infernal Pane, and Murdaw.
