Padfoot is an skill that lowers the chance of random encounters for 128 steps. Using this technique will also raise the chance of being taken off guard when an encounter does happen.

Not present in the original release. Called Tiptoe in the GBC version. Learned by thieves at level 17.

Yangus learns this skill after investing 33 points into his "Fisticuffs" skill.

Dragon Quest Tact[edit]

Padfoot appears as an awakening perk for Erik. At the start of a battle, he gets a great boost to his evasion rate and Move stat for 3 turns.
