Dodgy Dance is a dance in the Dragon Quest series.

It increases evasion by a substantial amount in all appearances.

Appearances[edit]

Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation[edit]

Dodgy Dance is obtained by advancing to either rank 2 of the Dancer vocation or rank 4 of the Martial Artist vocation. When used, it boosts the character's Evasion to 50% for 2~3 turns.

It is used by the enemies hellstalkers and Bronson.

Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past[edit]

Localized as Sidestep, this skill is learned by reaching rank 5 of the Dancer vocation and rank 3 in the Slime vocation.

It can also be used by magic marionettes.

Dragon Quest Monsters[edit]

Called SideStep in this game, it requires the monster to reach level 9 with 63 HP and 54 Agility. It is naturally learned by the DanceVegi, MudDoll, PillowRat and Slabbit.

Dragon Quest Monsters 2[edit]

The requirement to learn SideStep are unchanged. It is naturally learned by the Inverzon, LandOwl and WildApe.

Dodgy Dance costs just one MP and doubles evasion for 4~7 turns, stacking with the related traits. It is learned via the Altruist, Cutpurse, Fuzzy Thinker, Musclehead, Party Monster, Pop Idol, Rockin’ Roller, Speedster , Supreme Healer, and Vexologist talents.
