Dragon Quest Monsters 2: Iru and Luca's Mysterious Key (Doragon Kuesto Monsutāzu 2: Iru to Ruka no Fushigi na Fushigi na Kagi, ドラゴンクエストモンスターズ2 イルとルカの不思議なふしぎな鍵) is a remake of Dragon Quest Monsters 2. It incorporates both versions of the original, Iru's Adventure and Luca's Journey, into a single game while updating the titles to the standards set by Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker. It was released in Japan both as a digital download on the Nintendo 3DS eShop and in retail stores on February 6, 2014 with 803 monsters for players to wrangler.

On August 6, 2020 it was re-released for Japanese smartphones under the title of Dragon Quest Monsters 2: Iru and Luca's Mysterious Key SP (ドラゴンクエストモンスターズ2イルとルカの不思議な鍵SP) with about 100 additional monsters, including some from Dragon Quest XI. • An app that allows transference of monsters and data from Terry's Wonderland 3D to Iru and Luca's Marvelous Mysterious Key. In order for the app to be usable, both games need to have clear data (beating the game).
