Lashings of Love is a whip ability in the Dragon Quest series that typically deals extra damage to monsters of the humanoid variety.

Dragon Quest II HD-2D Remake[edit]
Lashings of Love is learned by the Princess of Moonbrooke at level 22. It costs 5 MP to perform and deals 120% Strike-element damage to the first foe, 105% damage to the second, 90% to the third, 70% for the fourth, 50% for the fifth, and 40% to all subsequent enemies in order of left-to-right. Humanoid monsters take 140% damage, and the souped-up version is Pink Tornado.
Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake[edit]
Lashings of Love can be learned by Monster Wranglers upon recruiting 30 monsters. From left-to-right it deals 100, 80, 70, 50, 30, and 20% Strike damage to an enemy group with 130% damage dealt to humanoid enemies.
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King[edit]
Jessica can use Lashings of Love after allocating 55 skill points into her whip skill. In Dragon Quest VIII, it has a 25% chance to paralyze enemies and deals an additional 30% more damage.
Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies[edit]
This ability is learned with 7 skill points allocated into Whip skill. In Dragon Quest IX, it deals 50% more damage to humanoids.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age[edit]
Veronica will learn Lashings of Love for 6 skill points, while Sylvando learns it for 7 skill points. It functions as it did in IX.
