Cameron's Codex

Cameron's Codex is a new feature which was introduced to the Nintendo 3DS version of Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King. It details the photographic challenges issued by Cameron Obscura, a traveler who wishes to see the world through the lenses of the Hero and the party. It utilizes the 3DS version's new photo taking feature. Cameron will give prizes to the player if they have completed a certain amount of challenges and receive stamps for each one. These prizes include rare and valuable items.

The photography challenges are unlocked when the party arrives at Port Prospect and meet Cameron Obscura.
