The wrecked specs are an accessory that appears in Dragon Quest VII. The pair of spectacles is notable for being the only accessory in the series to have no effect on the wearer whatsoever.

Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past[edit]
The specs belong to an Estard castle guardsman who lost them in the storage area of the kitchen, and can be given back to him for details on how to advance in the game's prologue section. Beyond this they have no purpose, and if the guardsman is avoided they can be kept through the entire game.
