The empty lair is east of the [[Shrine South of Midenhall]]. Considering its proximity to the route of the [[Ghost Ship (Dragon Quest II)|Ghost Ship]] and oddness of there being three undersea lairs but only two sea lords, some have speculated that [[Octavian]] once lurked here before attacking a passing vessel and relocating.
