Recall is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series.
In the original Super Famicom version of Dragon Quest VI and the Super Famicom and Game Boy Color versions of Dragon Quest III, the Hero is able to memorize a set amount of conversations spoken to them by NPCs by pressing a button and then remembering them later with the use of this skill.
This can be helpful for remembering hints and clues or simply for interesting lines of dialogue. Recall costs no MP to use and can memorize up to three conversations.
However, this system was omitted from the games starting with the Nintendo DS version of VI and the mobile version of III.
