Cannibox: Difference between revisions

The '''Cannibox''' is a recurring {{MFamilies}} in the {{DQSeries}}.

Introduced in {{Dragon Quest III}}, it is a weaker version of the more common [[Mimic]] and as such is usually the first container-mimicking {{MFamilies}} encountered by the player.

Canniboxes, like [[Mimic]]s, are monstrous {{chest}}s; the Cannibox is probably the most convincing of the {{chest}}-mimicking {{MFamilies}}s since it is colored like a traditional {{chest}}: brown, unlike the off-color palettes of the [[Mimic]] and [[Pandora's box]].

Being a lesser variety of the [[Mimic]], Canniboxes usually don't have access to instant-death moves but, rather, {{Desperate attack}}s that can act as instant-death if the target's {{HP}} isn't sufficient enough to survive. An [[encounter]] with a Cannibox can usually be prevented by casting [[Peep]] on a {{chest}} to determine whether or not is a {{MFamilies}}, though this may not help any if Canniboxes wander the area like normal {{MFamilies}}s do.
