#REDIRECT Five sigils
The 5 Sigils, known as Crests or Seals in earlier translations, are a set of symbols/markings that must be acquired in DQ2. By collecting all five, the heroes can summon Rubiss at the Rubiss Shrine and receive the charm of the goddess.  In II, Dream-Whisperer explains that Rubiss had sealed herself away with them.

Locations
The Echo Flute can be used to find them.

This sigil is recieved automatically after finding Dream-Whisperer in the Weirdwood in the HD-2D Remake of I. In the HD-2D Remake of II, Mariella has the sigil on her lapel, and she will relinquish it once the Scions of Erdrick have defeated her in the Den of Iniquity.

Effects
In the HD-2D Remakes of I and II, each sigil provides certain effects to the party once it is in their possession. The effect depends on the sigil.
*Sun Sigil: Allows certain abilities to deliver critical hits.
*Water Sigil: Increases the efficacy of items. Items such as Medicinal herbs and Magic water recover more HP and MP and in II, affect the whole party.
*Moon Sigil: Allows spells to go critical and deal extra damage or heal more health.
*Star Sigil: Allows the party to recover MP simply by defending.
*Soul Sigil: The most powerful of them all. This increases the party's health and also allows them to turn certain spells and abilities into more powerful "Souped-Up Skills" when they are below 50% health, or in the case of I, under the effects of Reheal or Channel Anger.
