The Velvet Cape is a recurring armor in the Dragon Quest franchise.

The leather cape has a defence bonus of +60. Only Angelo can wear it.

Dragon Quest IX

The velvet cape is presented as the first in a series of nocturnally themed capes. Through the power of the Alchemy pot, it can take on the improved forms of the Dark robe and Macabre mantle.
