Some additional downloadable content (DLC) is available for Dragon Quest Builders. All these new items are only available in Terra Incognita and Gladiatoria.

It's all free of charge on console. New paid DLC was introduced in the Mobile port from 2022 but included for free in the Steam port from 2024.

Switch versionEdit

The Switch version includes all the DLC from the Playstation versions as well as some additional NES-inspired blocks and items in the base game. Technically the Switch version doesn't have downloadable content, as it is all in the cart.

Mobile & Steam versionsEdit

Everything prior to its release is included directly in the mobile port, like happened earlier on the Switch version. Four new paid DLC exists:

  • Magic Carpet: Builders can use a magic carpet as they observe, build, and explore their structures from the sky, as well as listen to special music as they travel.
  • Pixel Ring: More than just a pretty accessory, players can wear a Pixel Ring that grants higher number of “pixels” when defeating an enemy in “Terra Incognita”, which players can then use to create special items on the “Dragon Quest Game Pak” workstation.
  • Astronomy Set: Players can light up the night sky with 10 stars and planets to bring the beauty of the galaxy to their backyard.
  • Boss Monster Model Set: Players can unpack several giant posable monster figures that can be added to their worlds.

These four sets can be purchased separately or in one pack.

The 2024 Steam release of Dragon Quest Builders includes all the DLC for free.
