Multislice is an ability in the Dragon Quest series. It damages all enemies in a flurry of blades, functioning as a superior technique to the Roundhouse Kick.

Appearances[edit]

Dragon Quest II HD-2D Remake[edit]

Multislice is learned by the Prince of Cannock after reading a scroll found on the fifth floor of the Lighthouse. It costs 8 MP to perform and deals a slightly reduced 95% damage to all foes, using the Strike-element.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake[edit]

Multislice was retroactively added to the 2024 remake, where it can learned by Warriors upon reaching level 43 if their wisdom exceeds 83 points. Multislice costs 8 MP and deals full damage to all monsters instead of decreasing in power from left to right as in older titles, influenced only by the target's Strike-element resistance.

Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation[edit]

Multislice is learned by advancing to rank 4 of the Gladiator vocation. From left to right the damage modifiers are 100%, 80%, 70%, and 50%, and it shares the Rock-element with skills such as Boulder Toss and Knuckle Sandwich.

It is used by the enemies Commander Brutus, demonriders, octavian sentries, Zozagel, and Terry (boss).

Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past[edit]

Multislice retains all the properties from the previous game is learned through a variety of vocations in VII, such as rank 7 of the Gladiator, rank 2 of the Champion, rank 8 of the Mandrake Major, rank 6 of the Berserker, and rank 3 of the Slaughtomaton.

  • In the 3DS version the skill requires 3 MP to use.

It is used by the enemies automatons and silver scrappers.
