Fizzle is learned by the {{Hero 1}} at level 10. It costs 2 MP to use it against an enemy, and it stops them from casting spells. Like with other spells in the original title, Fizzle uses a resistance table based on 16; I.E. 1 in 16 to hit, 2 in 16, and so on. Due to the way the game's calculations are programmed, no enemies are fully immune to Fizzle, with its odds of working bottoming out at 1/16. Some enemies, such as [[scorpion]]s, will not be affected, because they do not have any spells.
 
Enemy Fizzle spells have a 50/50 chance of working each time the spell is cast. If the Hero is wearing [[Erdrick's Armour]], enemy Fizzle spells will always fail against him.
