The Emperor Slime is a monster first encountered in Dragon Quest VII. It is the first pallet swap of the Gem slime monster that was added into the main series after the first Dragon Quest Monsters game.
Characteristics
Regal slimes in the shape of brilliant-cut diamonds, emperor slimes are the highest authority in the slime monarchy. These slippery sovreigns embody the concept of Noblese oblige, defending their subordinates when under attack and reviving them with they splat against the battlefield. When spoken to Monster Meadows, the emperor slime is very chummy with the protagonist and speaks with him casually.

Dragon Quest X
An emperor slime is said to be the result of a king slime that was accidentally sat on by a queen slime and became vulcanized under her weight. The emperor is the most powerful slime by far, with a 750 attack stat, a defense of 620, and often acting twice per turn. The emperor's spell list includes Bound, Zing, and will become enraged if its subordinates are defeated. Emperor slimes have a strong resistance to ice magic, a humorous callback being crushed under the cold-blooded queen slime.
