Blizzard Slash is a recurring attack in the Dragon Quest series, first introduced in Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker. It strikes a single enemy with the power of a freezing blizzard.
Appearances[edit]
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker[edit]
Blizzard Slash strikes one enemy and inflicts 120% damage based on the user's normal attack, inflicting Crack-element damage. It can be learned from:
- Bang & Crack III (38 points)
- Crack & Zam III (27 points)
- Crack & Zap III (27 points)
- Darklight Slashes (60 points)
- Diamagon II (33 points)
- Ice III (27 points)
- Icemeister (80 points)
- Iceplosion Slashes (60 points)
- Über Blessed Blizzardier (40 points)
- Über Knight (40 points)
- Woosh & Crack III (39 points)
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2[edit]
Blizzard Slash now deals damage based on a combination of the target's Crack and ice breath resistance. It can be learned from all the skillsets it could be previously, though the point requirements for Darklight Slashes and Iceplosion Slashes have changed. It can now be learned from:
- Crack & Sizz III (27 points)
- Darklight Slashes (50 points)
- Iceplosion Slashes (50 points)
Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below[edit]
Blizzard Slash is a combo finisher used by Aurora. It is a frigid sword slash that creates a large amount of ice crystals. It can be used by performing three light attacks in a row and then a heavy attack. Like all ice spells and techniques, it has a chance of freezing enemies solid.
Dragon Quest Tact[edit]
Known as Blizzard Rush in this game, it is known naturally by Killing machine at level 1 and can be learned by Mandrake mercenary at level 16, Lethal armour at level 26, Great dragon at level 31, and Bad karmour at level 32. It costs 17 MP to use and inflicts 180% potency Crack-type physical damage to a single enemy. Blizzard Rush can also be taught to any unit by using an ability scroll.
