Shining Shot is a recurring ability in the franchise. It launches a volley of magical arrows that ignore the enemy's defence.
Appearances
Dragon Quest VIII
Angelo can use Shining Shot as a bow technique after allocating 82 skill points into the associated skill. The skill hits all enemies for 116~125 points of bang-type damage.
Dragon Quest IX
Shining Shot can be used by any character that has the 'Archery for the Adept' (quest #84) item in their inventory and is equipped with a Bow. This technique strikes all enemies in battle for 145~155 points of damage, and bears the light element.
Dragon Quest Tact
Shining Shot can be learned by Angelo at level 56 and costs 63 MP to cast. It has a range of three squares in any direction away from him and deals 37% Bang-type physical damage to a single enemy 8 times. Upgrading the spell increases its damage and reduces the MP it costs to cast.
