Monster Masher is a recurring ability in the franchise. It deals 50% more damage to Material enemies, and occasionally bonus damage to other enemy types.

Dragon Quest VIII
Yangus can use Monster Masher as a club technique after allocating 32 skill points into the associated skill. Once he has allocated 100 points, it is replaced by the more powerful Devil Crusher, which also deals double damage to demons, 50% more to material foes, and an extra 10% to everything else.
- In the handheld port, M.M deals 1.25% damage to non-materials, and 1.75% damage to materials. Devil Crusher retains these changes.

This ability is learned with 58 skill points invested into Hammer skill.
