The Croaked king is a recurrent monster in the Dragon Quest series and it was introduced in Dragon Quest VII.
Characteristics
Croaked kings are colossal catfish monsters that believe themselves to be emperors of the sea. They have pink skin with a white pudgy underbelly. They wear a sea blue cape that is held into their bodies thanks to a gold brooch and wield a scepter made of a golden conch, which allows them to summon great raging waves of water with Maelstrom. They have an innate ability to passive recover health, which may be to do with their regal nature, or perhaps it's due to the extra flubber on their bodies. They also use their stunning spectre to help them harness the powers of icy blizzards and strong fire, with Kasizzle.
