The Blight knight is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest IX. It is a powerful skeletal warrior armed with a wicked broadsword.
Characteristics
Blight knights are large skeletal swordsmen that wear a set of purple and grey armour, wielding a giant sword in one hand and a round shield in the other. Long ragged capes that drag along the ground are attached to their pauldrons. Their bones have been plundered from the bodies of warriors that fell in battle challenging them. In battle, the skeletal knights specialise in defensive tactics, casting Bounce on themselves to redirect enemy spells and launching counterattacks against would-be melee attackers.
