The Sword of shadows is a Greatsword in Dragon Quest XI. It is only accessible in the post-game and is needed to progress. It was created after Mordegon corrupted the original Sword of Light, and participates in the final battle against the sorcerer as Mordragon's Tail.
Appearance[edit]
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age[edit]
The Sword is needed to progress further in the post-game, as it is the only weapon that can break Jasper's barrier during his fight with in the Heart of Yggdrasil. After this fight, however, the Sword breaks permanently.
