If Sylvia's pronouns are she/her-etc..

If Sylvia's pronouns are she/her-etc, why does the wiki use they/them pronouns? It's not like there's any ambiguity: "Sylvia appears to be male, but prefers to use female pronouns."

Then again - in the trivia section: "In the Japanese version of the game, Sylvia refers to themselves using the pronoun "atashi" (あたし), which is typically only used by women but it can be used by feminine men." I'm not a speaker of Japanese in any way, so, to those who are- When "atashi" is translated to English, is it literally "she" (or "her", etc)? If that's the case then again, there's no ambiguity, right?

Or would it just be best to wait until the English release, so we have a definitive answer?

I vote that we wait and see. Generally this wiki uses the localization for official reference, but it would be important to add notes about the original Japanese. TheCodingGamer (talk) 13:39, 17 August 2017 (CDT)
I specifically left it that way because we don't know how localization is going to handle Sylvia's gender yet. Personally, I think using gender-neutral terms to refer to Sylvia seems safest for now. I know other places online are only referring to Sylvia as male without even mentioning the pronoun part. Aphelion (talk) 16:07, 18 August 2017 (CDT)
