The mousenap (formerly FairyRat) is a semi-recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series.
Description
The mousenap is an amalgamation of a rat's head and upper body and a wasp's lower body. The rat portion of its body has purple fur, and it has two pairs of wings that it uses to float in midair, similar to large pairs of ears. It is considered an insect, despite the rat's head.

The mousenap can be found in Grotta del Sigillo in the past and present, the Faraday region in the past, Automaton Base in the past, the Greenthumb Gardens region in the past, and the Alltrades Abbey region in the past.

FairyRats can be first encountered in the Memories Traveler's Gate and they can be bred by breeding any member of the Beast family with a LizardFly. FairyRats are considered beasts in this game.
