Dragon Quest Swords Chapter 3 subtitled The Mask contains the third level and associated plot of Dragon Quest Swords. It contains the introduction of Fleurette.
Chapter 3 begins with Fleurette requesting aid from the hero in visiting Arondight Heights. Fleurette is convinced that there is some connection between the Rorrim Mask that Queen Curtana constantly wears and the Heights. The hero accompanies Fleurette to the summit where they must defeat the Emissary of Xiphos. After his defeat, the pair view a stone carving depicting the use of the mask in order to defeat and inprison Xiphos the Deathbringer. As a result, they quickly return to Castle Avalonia fearing an ill omen concerning the queen.
