Barbaric Barbs is learned by Shadows, Umbras, and Silhouettes, but only by the fashionable versions of the monsters noted for their altered appearances: the plain members of these species will never learn the skill. When used, shadowy spikes will jut from the ground in a wide area and deal Dark-elemental piercing damage to any enemy that sets foot in the radius, and costs only 2 MP to use.
