Spiked armour
The spiked armour is a recurring suit of armor in the Dragon Quest series that first appeared in Dragon Quest III. It causes recoil damage on any attacker that inflicts physical damage, with the exact amount varying between titles. In all its depictions, the spiked armour has a blue cloth emblazoned with a yellow cross on the front.

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed KingEdit
The spiked armour has a defence bonus of +68 and reflects 25% of physical damage all the time, but the game is specifically programmed so that metal monsters only take 1 point of damage. Only the Hero and Yangus can equip it, and it can be made using the Alchemy Pot.
