Appearances
Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation
Critical Claim was retroactively added to the 2024 remake, where it's learned by the Warrior upon reaching level 47. It costs 64 Template:PM to use.
Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies
Critical Claim is a Coup de Grâce for Warriors in Dragon Quest IX. The user swings a sword of light down on the opponent, dealing a guaranteed critical hit, making it very useful for hunting members of the Metal slime family.
Dragon Quest X
Critical Claim returns as a special move for the Warrior. Instead of a sword of light, Critical Claim is now displayed as a powerful punch. For versions 1.0~2.0 the ability had the same function as it did in IX, but as of the 2.1 update it now has a spread effect that damages monsters within half a meter of the selected target.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age
Critical Claim is now a skill for Erik. In the PS4/Switch versions, Critical Claim still resembles the Dragon Quest X iteration. However, in the 3DS version, the skill resembles the Dragon Quest IX iteration. It is gained after putting 20 points into one of the panels in his Guile skill tree. Due to now being a skill, Critical Claim requires Erik to use MP in order to use it (64 MP to be exact). Critical Claim can be stacked with Divide in order to deal massive damage.
