Protectorate
The Protectorate is the Celestrian name for the overworld of Dragon Quest IX.

It encompasses all of the towns and locations which are guarded by Celestrian protectors. It is also the source for the Benevolessence which is used to make the Yggdrasil blossom in the Observatory.
