Sainted soma has a 10% chance of being found in Rank 10 (S) blue treasure chests or can be made in the Krak Pot. When the DQVC was still available, it could be purchased for 7,300 gold each during the Autumn Fayre, New Year's Sale, Spring Fayre, and Alchaid Week 4. One phial of sainted soma is required to complete Quest #51: A Martyr to His Ma and it can be repeated as many times as possible. Sainted soma is used in the following alchemy recipes:

Sainted soma is used as a material for crafting weapons and armour. It can be received as a quest reward, received in exchange for 2 Mini medals each, or dropped by various monsters including Baalzebubs, Infernal armours, Imps, and Woebergines.

Sainted soma can be picked up from a sparkly spot at Gallopolis - Whale Way Station or found in treasure chests at Insula Centralis*, Arboria, and the Fortress of Fear, as well as a pot in the Havens Above. It can also be purchased as a Casino prize at Octagonia for 30,000 tokens each starting in the second act. Phials of sainted soma can be dropped by Great keepers and their malicious counterparts, along with Phoenixes. It can be sold for 730 gold.

Sainted soma can be dropped by Belials, Pandora's boxes, and Stone guardians, or can be received from King Flaminio in exchange for 8 Mini medals each on the Stonecloud. It can also be received as a reward for completing Grudge Match: Problem Child with gold clear time from the second time onward. Sainted soma can be used in the classic recipes of the Block-it locket, Catholicon ring, Pink pearl, and Venus' tear in the Alchemy Pot or sold for 975 gold.

Dragon Quest Heroes II: Twin Kings and the Prophecy's EndEdit

Sainted soma is used as a material to improve various accessories or sold for 975 gold. It can be dropped by Roseguardins or received in exchange for 10 Mini medals each.

Dragon Quest TreasuresEdit

A solution infused with sacred strength. Used mainly for cooking. Mostly found on the Paternoggin and the Wingswept Moors.[3]

Sainted soma can be collected from flowers on the Paternoggin and the Wingswept Moors or sometimes received by sending a dispatch team to the Greywing Bridge area of the Wingswept Moors. It is used for cooking dishes at the canteen or for scouting monsters.

In the Vedic religion of ancient India, soma is a ritual drink that was a fundamental offering of Vedic sacrifices. It was extracted from an unidentified plant and was valued for its exhilarating, possibly hallucinogenic, effect.
