Whips of Woe is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series. It attempts to blind a group of enemies by striking them with a whip, vines, or other type of appendage.

Appearances[edit]

Dragon Quest Monsters: Super Light[edit]

Whips of Woe can be learned by various monsters, including the Malign vine, Blood mummy, and Slave-driver. It costs 41 MP to use and deals 36% potency slashing physical damage four times and has a chance to inflict blindness.

Dragon Quest Tact[edit]

Whips of Woe can be learned by Gripevine at level 46 and costs 38 MP to use. It has a range of two squares in front of it, inflicts 185% potency physical damage to all enemies in a range of three squares horizontally, and has a chance to blind them.
