The Clangoustine is an enormous lobster made out of solid metal. While thematically similar to metal slimes, it is not known for its quickness or high experience point yield when defeated. Nevertheless it is an incredibly durable foe that can wear down unprepared adventurers.

Etymology[edit]
- Clangoustine is a pun on the words clang and langoustine, one of several names for Norway shrimp.
- The reference to the monster's weight is reinforced in the Japanese language, where the name is a dual pun on heavy metal and shrimp.
