Chiaroscuro Shield is a talent in Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince which boosts a monster's HP and MP, and raises its resistance against MP absorption, instant death, and light and dark-elemental attacks.

In order to unlock this talent, players must combine monsters who have mastered the Zam Ward and Zap Ward talents.

Etymology
- Chiaroscuro is a type of shading method first invented during the Renaissance. It focuses on creating powerfully strong contrasts between light and shadow, hence it's use in the game as a counter to Sizz and Zam.
