Not to be confused with the identically named dungeon found in Dragon Quest VI

The Sunken Ship is a wrecked merchant ship found in Dragon Quest II HD-2D Remake. Seemingly just another hunk of debris caused by sea monster attacks, it plays an important role in repairing the relationship between mermaids and humans.

AppearancesEdit

Dragon Quest II HD-2D RemakeEdit

The Sunken Ship is found to the north off the coast of Galenholm, and can be reached by strumming a few cords on Lorelei's harp. The Scions of Erdrick are informed of the wreckage when asking the Queen of the Mermaids to bring Lorelei's harp back to its full power so their own ship can descend to the bottom of the sea. The detour to the derelict is to retrieve the missing pearl earring necessary for the harp to be upgraded.

It is not to be confused with the Ghost Ship, a different remake-exclusive underwater ship dungeon found in Dragon Quest II HD-2D Remake that also shares its name with a dungeon in another Dragon Quest game. The Sunken Ship is stationary and looks like an ordinary ship, while the Ghost Ship moves around and is shrouded in purple mist.
