The Stone Golem (originally Stoneman) is a recurring enemy in the Dragon Quest series. Introduced in the original Dragon Quest alongside the Golem, it is essentially a more powerful version of that monster.
Characteristics
A Stone Golem's name sums up its appearance: it is a Golem with a stone-gray body.
In the majority of their appearances, Stone Golems are superior to the regular variety whether it be through increased strength, stamina, resistances, versatility, or all of the above. They are especially prone to charging up power for increased strength to their already crushing blows.

The first appearance of the Stone Golem, though it does not appear until the player ventures into the very keep of the Dragonlord. They are one of the strongest monsters in the game, boasting the highest HP of any monster with impressive attack strength to boot.
