Dark Slime can refer to two species of monsters:

• Shadow slime: a palette swap of a regular slime that appears in Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King and was known as "Dark slime" in that appearance, its Japanese name being スライムダーク ("Slime dark").
• Dark slime (Dragon Quest Monsters): the winged and fanged slime that appears in several entries in the Dragon Quest Monsters series. Its Japanese name is ダークスライム ("Dark slime").
