Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past[edit]
Mercury's rapier was added in the Nintendo 3DS remake, and it can be equipped by the Hero, Sir Mervyn, and Aishe. It has an Attack bonus of +65 and boosts Style by +32. Like the Falcon blade, the sword enables the wielder to attack twice in a turn. It can be bought for 10,000 Casino Tokens, but cannot be sold.
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King[edit]
Mercury's rapier is a weapon for Angelo with an Attack bonus of +78, and increases his Agility by 20. It can be bought for 10500 gold coins from Empycchu and Dark Empycchu. It can also be sold for 5,250 gold coins.
