Drackmage: Difference between revisions

Drackmages are green, forest-dwelling drackies with a bad habit of casting [[Kasap]] on adventurers and often appear in groups. They keep themselves in midair by constantly flapping their large pair of [[Bird family|wings]]. It has a pair of antennae on its head, round feet, and displays a large pair of fangs in its smiling mouth.

*Drackmage is a portmanteau of Dracky and mage, which means 'magic user'; this species is the first in the line to use magic. Its other names, Magidrakee and WizDracky, also allude to this capacity.

*The Japanese name タホドラキー (tahodorakī) is actually a result of the limited {{Famicom}}/{{NES}} memory of the original {{Dragon Quest}}. Due to this limited memory, not all the Japanese ''kana'' could be included, so [[Yuji Horii]] was required to alter タフドラキー (tafudorakī -- i.e. "tough-dracky") to タホドラキー, which could actually be spelled with the limited ''kana'' available.
