The '''Leather armour''', also known as the '''Leather suit''', is a recurring suit of armour in the {{DQSeries}}. It is light armour which is often equipped near the beginning of various games.

The Leather armour consists of a simple breastplate and [[Wiktionary:fauld|fauld]]s made out of brown leather held on the body with belts. In some games, it is worn over a long-sleeved tunic. This lightweight armour provides a decent amount of protection early in the game and can even be equipped by characters and vocations who cannot wear heavier armour. In some games such as ''X'' and ''Stars'', the [[leather trousers]] were introduced as a legwear counterpart.

Due to text restrictions in the {{Game Boy Color}} remake of {{DQ}}, the leather armour was renamed to ''Leathr'' with a symbol for armour next to it. It is known as the ''Leather suit'' in the smartphone and Nintendo Switch versions.
