The Greater Leveller is a spell that evens the playing field and prevents enemies from using magic and is the superior version of The Great Leveller.
Appearances[edit]
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past[edit]
The Greater Leveller is learned by checking the grave of the Wizz in the present-day version of the Great Conjuratorium near Hubble. This teaches the diminutive version to the Hero, which can be upgraded after speaking to the Wizz in the past to accelerate his magical research and checking his grave in the present once more.
When used it strips all monsters and allies of positive status effects and prevents everyone from casting spells for several turns.
Dragon Quest VII Reimagined[edit]
The Greater Leveller is learned by investigating the Wizz's grave in modern times, with no backtracking to the past necessary. It costs 30 MP and when cast it removes all status changes, positive or negative, from everyone in battle and prevents monsters from casting spells for several turns. Along with Zoom, The Greater Leveller is the only ability permanently available to the Hero once learned and can be cast in any vocation.
