Etymology[edit]
Creeping Shadow shares a name with a track on the Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King Original Soundtrack. It is a theme commonly associated with Dhoulmagus, playing in key moments such as the death of Abbot Francisco and the first battle with him in the Dark Ruins, as well as playing during the first portion of the battle against Rhapthorne. The theme has gone on to reused in other games, including Dragon Quest X and Dragon Quest XI.
